Sunday March 18th we woke up at 3 am and headed to the Brisbane airport for our flight to Cairns. We arrived in Cairns around 10 am to the pouring rain. Apparently some of the streets have became rivers and lakes, AWESOME!
After settling into our hotel we ventured off downtown for some lunch. We found a great spot right on the pier. After stuffing out belly's and a few cocktails the boys and I headed back for a 2 hour power nap before heading to the Casino.
On Monday we headed off to the Great Barrier Reef. It was a bit wet and some of the main roads were closed down so we had to take a longer route to get there. We had a rocky ride out to the reef but once we were there, Kev and I scuba dived and the others snorkeled. It was lots of fun!
Tuesday (Birthday celebration for Tommy and I!!) our rainforest excursion got canceled due to the rain, so instead we went to an Irish Pub ALL DAY and drank! Perfect way to celebrate our birthday. Followed by a delicious dinner!
Wednesday (still our Birthday in the States!!) we headed off into the Rainforest. Got to see some waterfalls, swim in some gorgeous water, and actually see some sun! That night we had a great Birthday Dinner at a Seafood and Steak house. The food was amazing, delicious wine, and a birthday chocolate pudding with ice cream yummy!!! This was our last night with everyone, great night to end the trip!

Jenny these pics are so cool! I love the ones of the fish @ the great barrier reef....I can't wait to see the nemooooo video! Glad you had fun with Kev's family, I'm sure it was good to see some familiar faces. Love youuuuuu xx
